Below's an introduction to various coaches, each teaching different style of roller skating along with their backgrounds. 

Bun's 2020 coach Edo
  • CASI Level 1 Snowboard Instructor

  • -Certificate in Principles of Coaching Sports (Special Educational Needs)

 

With 10 years’ experience of being an all-rounder skater, Edo has exceled the field in aggressive inline and roller skating and certification as a snowboarding. She enjoys roller dancing, thus has actively participated in various performing arts such as music videos, advertisement, drama and public roller dancing performances.

 

Edo is keen and enthusiastic to share her very passion and knowledge for roller skating to students.

-Major in sport and recreation education

-Certificate to teach SEN students.

Majoring in Sport and Recreation Education from Baptist University, Francis has gained the knowledge to be the coach he needs to be in order to teach Roller skating to students. He has taught the different forms of skating e.g. figure roller skating and aggressive roller/inline skating in his 3 years of teaching experience.

 

Francis is also certified and has a year experience to teach students with special educational needs.

Cheyanne

Beginning to be trained in performing arts from a very young age, Cheyanne has achieved to be an all-rounder performer in various arts, such as a pianist, singer, dancer and actress. She has performed in various shows and advertisement. 

 

Leading to her using her talent of a performer to be a roller skating instructor, where she gets the opportunity to mix music and dance with skates and teaching and guide students to enjoy the sport the way she does it.

Tiphanie

Tiphanie’s roller-skating life started from doing aggressive inline skating in 2018, and shifted to quad skating in 2020. She has showcased performances as a skater in various commercial advertisements and films. She is excels at creating a relaxed, fun and positive learning atmosphere for students.


To Tiphanie, the most enjoyable thing of roller skating is the freedom that you feel after you put on the skates.

Bruce Swift

- World Skate Asia Rink hockey Coach
- ⁠Rink Hockey representative of Hong Kong, China
- ⁠Referee of Roller Derby


Bruce is one of the coaches who specializes in speed and strength. In 2013, He started his roller journey in Australia with speed skating and further developed his skills in artistic skating, roller derby and Rink Hockey in Hong Kong. Bruce believes that roller skating has no age limit and everyone can enjoy it. He is keen on teaching the foundation of roller skating and preparing the students for different sports on quad skates.

Hoiyi

 

Studied a Bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Hong Kong Baptist University.

 

She is good at using different game teaching methods to encourage students to learn in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere and master roller skating skills step by step.

Water

Water has been roller skating since his childhood and later found interest in being a juggler. His experience from being a juggler has evolved him to roller skate professionally.

 

He has experience as a roller-skater for over 5 years. Having the opportunity to turn his hobbies into a career, with his talent and skill, he is keen to promote the sport to a wider range of people.

Minnie

Minnie graduated with a bachelor of mechanical engineering major from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2016. She had worked as a theme park performer for 5 years and now she is a full time actress at Hong Kong Disneyland.

She’s got so much passion for performing art, such as dancing Taekwondo, drama, skating etc.

 

Roller/Ice Skating Introduction:

Minnie started ice skating when she was young and began to learn figure ice skating in 2012. She got Second Place in ISIS ice skating competition for 5 years.

 

Because of Covid, she found that Roller Skating can replace Ice Skating when the Rink has been closed at that moment. Eventually, she thought it would be great if we can mix dancing with roller skating and hope that more people in Hong Kong will know more about roller skating.

Herman

Herman is a roller-skating coach, mostly specializing in roller dance. He is passionate about sharing the love and passion for his expressive energetic style of roller skating. Attending the international roller-skating event, *Skate Love Barcelona*, where he is well recognized for his energetic and powerful freestyle dance, gaining a reputation as a promising newcomer.

 

Herman connects with skaters of all ages, helping them improve their skills while having fun. With enthusiasm and a lighthearted approach, he creates a welcoming environment for everyone to enjoy skating and roller dance.
